About Me

Detox Records was built upon the ashes of pioneering 90-ies outfits Go Bang! & ESP and started out in the fall of 2002 with the first Innergy record ‘Comet Crashtest’that went down like a storm.
Catering to the hard post-millenium crowd, Detox produces a unique sound of its own that attracts the attention of the harder DJs around the world playing different styles to different crowds, from Hard Trance and Techno to Electro.
The new generation of hard DJs from the UK and magazines like Mixmag, labeled Detox as one of the leading Tech Trance labels. The energy of Techno and the spaced-out climaxes of Trance, topped-off with a dirty slice of Electro are important ingredients in the final Detox blend.
Leading DJs worldwide that have embraced the Detox sound include: Yoji Biomehanika, Eddie Halliwell, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules, Guffy, Tom Harding, Graham Gold, Ferry Corsten, Anne Savage, Armin van Buuren, Marco V, Alex Kidd, Shan, BK & many more.
Marzz – Orbiter (TOX 003) was an essential record, a record that made clear what Detox was all about and showed a little piece of what we could expect in the future. The tech trance anthem avan la lettre blew everyone out of the water and praised halleluja.
Michiel Overeem aka Marzz aka Innergy is one of the founders of the label and most important in-house producer. Beside his own productions he delivered a record with DJ Dano, with Tom Harding and with UK hard dance diva Anne Savage. After the interest in the label from the UK, Detox signed several UK artists who made some fantastic productions for Detox - Mark Sherry from Scotland and Gleave from Northern-Ireland delivered both great 12"s for the label and new signing Joey V delivered an amazing blend of Tech Trance and Electro with Chopperchunk.
2007 further welcomed a lethal collaboration between Mark Sherry and Oz' craziest agent Dr Willis as well as new signing Dave Schiemann on the tech tip from Poland with a great debut and Joey V's Chopperchunk follow-up with double A-sided Grizzly Grit and Lick It Love It Loop It. Whats in a name ???
2008 starts off with another OZ-UK crash through the Kracken by David Forbes & Dr Willis with remixes by Mac&Mac, Dave Schiemann and Joey V. (release february 4)
Upcoming for this year are trash-crashers by Gleave, Marzz, Mark Sherry & Julius Geluk. Stay tuned !!!!
