As youngsters relocating from Jamaica to the North Eastern regional of the US, 5if and Buddlockx has encountered enormous acerbity through their young tenure as dancehall’s new one two punch. Born Daneion Blake, 5if was always known for his touchy fingers, he would continuously take things apart at the same time maintaining a boyish grin while faced with the challenge of reconstructing what ever it was that was at the mercy of his fingers. However the end results weren’t always successful as he’s explained in many interviews…†boy it use tu botha mi when mi tek the radio and clock and all dem stuff deh apart, nu because mi a go get sum good beating from the old lady, but because mi feel like the challenge beat mi instead of me beating it†I guess it would be correct to say that from those days growing up in Jamaica 5if new his mission before many of us! As the younger sibling, buddlockx a.k.a Leon Blake was the more obedient lad with a thirst for local knowledge and global awareness. Resulting from these past and current habitually behaviors, 5if and buddlockx has team up not only as business partners, but even more important has dancehall’s new hope. With 5if phenomenal techniques behind the mixers and Buddlockx in the boardroom battling for a distribution deal; has certainly fuel the fire of these Kingston College alumni’s. The two brothers have enter the dancehall scene with international style and local flair through their co-found label R.H.T ENTERTAINMENT (Regg-Hipp –Tro –Dung, an epitome of two genres of musical sounds, Reggae and hip-hop combined) Currently R.H.T is working on their debut project, the heavily anticipated summer anthem for 07, known as the 3 star Riddim, This Spicy Dance track features dancehall royalties such as the king of Dancehall himself none other than Mr. Beenie Man, with the smash hit Real Love, follow by Addi di Teacha a.k.a Vybz Kartel with Goodas, followed by the one and only Mr. Energy God a.k.a MR. 106 & Park, Elephant man With Don’t like We, follow by the witty lyrics of Turbulance explaining to the females about his loving aptitudes and the do’s and don’t’ in the bedroom, with the sell off hit title As Usual. Other hot single on the track includes the man from St.Mary, Di Munga Honorable with a classic mix to a tight tune title Jah Help Those. Last but certainly not least we have club bangers from the executive producer himself 5if, with tunes such as Sometime (where he’s asking this beautiful female for a second of her time) and Club Approach (were he’s doing almost the opposite by telling some R.H.T wanna be’s to back up and give him some space to have fun in the club). Other artists feature on the track include RHT family members, Risqo G with Mi No Play, 12 Gage with Big Woman and Pac Q with Don’t You. Presently, R.H.T has cross-intercontinental borders with the link up of Jamaica’s toughest, roughest and most deadly Disc Jockey in Europe, DJ Mickey Mic (who’s also a family member of R.H.T not by contract but by blood).
