About Me

Hi, i'm Neil... a bit about me - I presently live in Sydney but am originally from a little coastal town called Merimbula, on the far south coast of NSW, where I grew up and went to school before going to uni in Canberra.
Writing and recording original music has always been a big part of my life (especially playing guitar and piano), and i've been involved in many different bands over the last 15 years or so. My most recent work has been with 'Midwinter' - which started as a couple of ideas between myself and Phil Osborn following BDO '07, and has evolved into my main project going forward.
So, this is a page for my solo work, on the side from the band. Although we may be known to play a couple of these songs as part of the band's live sets, they're not really tracks that represent the band's style. I guess I have a bit more of a sentimental attachment to these ones, as they were the first two real songs that I wrote, recorded and produced myself ("Gorgeousest' and 'Star')
When i'm not at work or at home bedroom producing 'Midwinter' demo's, i love heading out to watch live music, or just out for a couple of beers... and the best place to chill after a big night? ... beach!
Feel free to drop me a line - i'm always keen to meet new people with a spark for life, and music... and don't forget to check out the Mindwinter's website at www.midwinterband.com - thanks for your support!
Neil
