About Me

Where to begin...? I am a singer/songwriter who recently signed with Cal IV Entertainment in Nashville, Tennessee and couldn't be more excited about it. Basically, in one form or another, I have been writing for as long as I can remember. On my eighth birthday I was given a vintage Corona typewriter and by the time I was nine I had already written my first novel. A few years later I taught myself to play guitar and began writing my own music. Now, I write music for a living and consider myself blessed to be able to do so. I am fortunate enough to spend my days writing songs with some of the most talented songwriters out there. I am married and have the single most beautiful little boy on the planet who reminds me every day how much nothing else matters. When I am in town I play guitar, sing harmony and write songs for the band Bush Hog and when I am not in Tennessee I am usually in Los Angeles working on television. In the last year I have created and sold a 1/2 hour animated comedy titled "The Bubba's" to Comedy Central. It was filmed at the animation studio Film Roman (Same animation studio as the Simpsons, Family Guy, etc.). I have also created and sold a 1/2 hour live action comedy to FOX television titled "Driver's Ed" and wrote the pilot with Jim Hope (Producer and Writer for ABC's "The George Lopez Show"). In addition to those two shows, I have recently created and sold another 1/2 hour animated series titled "Big Tow" to TBS and Sony Pictures Television and I will be an executive producer and staff writer for the show. The people attached to this show are absolutely amazing and quite possibly some of the most creative comedic people in television. We have Mitch Hurwitz (Emmy award winning writer and creator of FOX's "Arrested Development"), Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Executive Producers of CBS's "Two and a Half Men"), and Clay Graham (Writer and Producer for "The Drew Carey Show") among others. I am represented by CAA (Creative Artists Agency) and ROAR. I have also created an hour long drama titled "The New Harvest" but we are still in the beginning phases of the show. Being the creator of these shows also has a major perk as a songwriter because it allows me to write the theme songs for each show. Kaching!Personally, I hate cats and love Mexican beer. I have a small farm outside of Nashville where I raise fainting goats. I enjoy mixed martial arts, Beethoven, and Renaissance art. Hippies annoy the hell out of me. I can put jalapenos on just about anything. I love the Sopranos, Family Guy, and Deadwood. I hate crowds and love the outdoors. I love dive bars and nice restaurants. A guy once told me I had a twisted sense of humor, I wasn't sure if that was a compliment so I stabbed him. I enjoy reading a book when I can get the time and I think John Steinbeck's "East of Eden" is the best novel ever written. I think Tombstone, Open Range, BraveHeart and the Notebook are the greatest movies ever made, and if you disagree, well then you are basically an idiot. I love my family, Jesus, Gerber pocket knives, the beach, hunting and Hatch green chiles from New Mexico. I love country music and good old fashioned American rock and roll but I can appreciate just about any type of music... except for EMO. I can't stand that crap! In my book you can't be a pilates practicing, eye-brow waxing, sensitive whiner and be a rock star. I want my rock stars to have issues. I want my rock stars to actually sound off and have a pair. I want my rock stars to get kicked out of the International House of Pancakes at 3 a.m. for fighting and then go to their limo and knock the bottom out of five strippers while snorting cocaine off a 1974 Gibson Les Paul. I also love the fact that you managed to read this entire profile. I usually just read the first couple of sentences and then go surf for some porn. I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
