"Did you know that Scenic Hills UMC was becoming a popular music venue for up and coming bands? Jacob Ross, who surely ha sa future in music promotion, organized an event on January 12. Jacob, along with quite a few individual and group artists, performed in our fellowship hall. The Scenic Hills UMYF helped with concessions and collecting the $5 cover at the door. Proceeds from the event were donated to Lakeshore United Methodist Assembly." - The Scene (SHUMC Newsletter)"Mosby and The Weather rocked the house last Friday (4/13/07) night at our youth concert- WELL DONE GENTLEMEN!!!! Thanks to Jacob for his organizational skills!!! We raised awareness and funds to help stop the genocide in Darfur. Thanks to all who came out and rocked the house! Thanks to all my adults who came to help out and support our youth! You are Awesome!!!!" -Lynn Thompson (BUMC Newsletter)
