About Me

Joe Stopka has been a Chicagoland guitarist for 30+ years. Joe plays many music styles but really loves Pop, Rock, Jazz and Blues. As a Chicagoland native Joe has played many studio dates for commercial and industrial music as well as on albums for friends and clients.Joe spent several years in the beginning of his music career in the Los Angeles music scene playing clubs throughout the South Bay beach area and some very famous Hollywood digs. While living in L.A. Joe had the unique experience of working at the world famous “Record Plant Recording Studios” (www.therecordplant.com). It was at the Record Plant where Joe learned quite a bit about audio recording and producing from some of the top dignitaries of the industry.Joe is equally accomplished at electric and acoustic guitars and plays virtually all parts (rhythm and lead guitars) including bass guitar, keys and most percussion on his recordings. Joe is also an accomplished vocalist (but we will save that for future Joe Stopka releases).Joe can be heard with his band "Transformation" throughout the Chicagoland area as well as in Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin. Check out Joe at www.Myspace.com/joestopka where you can find out about future gigs.Joe is also experienced behind the mixing console as a sound engineer and music producer and owns Stopka Studios (www.stopkastudios.com).
