The Takers

About Me

no longer together, but better than the other 10-20 bands calling themselves "The Takers" on myspace. The time has come to reclaim!

Band Members: Listing from www.system360.com/thetakers:
Nick Blakey, bass

The only one in the band who can play a song correctly from start to finish, Nick was stolen away from local "loose but tight" (in all the right places) rockers the In Out, for whom he played drums. Ask him what a garage door chest is.
Mike Carreiro, vocals
With a voice range of nearly 1/2 octave, Mike was born for this kind of shit. Plus he owns the van. There's a long story behind why he'd like to cover "Midnight Rider"
Mike Hibarger, guitar
The self-described "most eligible Taker", Mike can dance better than you, and probably drives a nicer car.
Chris Keene, drums
Taking the term "damning by faint praise" to a new level, Chris is sometimes referred to as "the smart one", but is usually just called "Buddy".
Record Label: unsigned, formerly Ruberic Records

Still don't know who the responsible party is for getting the 2 Takers records up on iTunes, but they are up there.  What's interesting is the list of stuff that people bought as well as Takers '...

Complete Gig Listing, revived

The old list of shows (including the other bands on the bill, the amount of money The Takers saw for their efforts, and er, color commentary) is now linked up.  Thanks to Nick Blakey for grabbing...
