About Me

We are creating a grassroots effort asking for anyone to come to help New Orleans rebuild. This is an amazing experience...there is no mainstream organization telling us how to do this, we are just a bunch of people who care, and want to work with others to prove that we can make something that seems impossible, actually happen...won't you help? Read on...Everyone keeps waiting for someone else (the government perhaps?) to step in and get the job done, and in fact volunteer organizations are doing their best. There just aren't enough resources (people, money, food, housing) to get it all done.A group of people from around the country (CA, WI, CO, TN, NY, FL) decided the people of America are amazing and can get done what everyone keeps telling us cannot happen. "There's not enough time... no one is there to fund it... you'll never get kids to volunteer to work...there won't be places to stay..." WE HAVE HEARD PEOPLE TELL US IT CANT BE DONE - GIVE UP...well, they are wrong! You know that and we know that! Help us prove them wrong and be part of one of the fastest rising New Orleans recovery ogranizations. You CAN make history! What's stopping you? Accept the Katrina Challenge.Volunteer or Donate Now Please!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone! Anyone can help. You don't even need to come to New Orleans to help, but if you have never met the people of New Orleans...you are missing out. We need people with skills (carpentry, teachers, counselors, etc) and people who just have some time to work (painting, planting, cleaning, tearing things down, etc). There is so much that can be done to help New Orleans. New Orleans has a feeling all it's own, they just want to enjoy life. Right now, they have too much else to worry about to just enjoy it. So let's help them.
