OUTLAW PLUMBING & POTERY ASSOC. EST. 1955 - WRENCHING AND POTTING SINCE 1955 these three amigos took the PLUMBING & POTERY world by storm in 1972 breaking-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C. The resulting cover-up brought down President Richard Nixon . The burglars' aim was to plant listening devices, while disguised as common criminals to provide cover. They were informally called the "plumbers unit" and included former members of the CIA. After the Watergate fiasco the three amigos turned their attention to POTERY - In Curly's words "Our goal is to illuminate the overlooked zone of interaction between conceptions of art and craft by focusing on the works of SCAT(ology) artists who believed themselves centrally engaged with potery, outlaw-ism, and other issues of concern to an international art world."
