Aalfang Mit Pferdekopf is the project of Ex Ovo co-founder Mirko Uhlig and released its debut album in 2004. Since then they released two full lengths album each year (on the own aal-label, also on: Taalem, Mystery Sea, Drone Records, Einzeleinheit). After a short break in 2006 Mirko has completed the work on the next full length voyage planned for 2007.
The project’s sound is a forge of cut-up-motives, dadaesque sound collages and the humming of the moon. There are no rules, there is no provocation. There’s only sound and the mumbling of little gnomes in the underwood bringing black milk to the altar of bubblehum. Uhlig’s long-time collaborator in these sketches is the currently Swiss-based guitar- and piano-explorer Jörg Eger. Hail to his Swiss bank account!!!
