I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town in rural Minnesota and am your sterotypical "nice guy" (and that's the "Minnesota Nice" variety). However, unlike many in my hometown, I have traveled outside of the North American continent, living, studying and working abroad in Japan for two years and have also lived in a large, Midwestern, metropolitan area (Milwaukee) for three years. So, I am an oddity in that I am too cosmopolitan for "rual folk" and and too much of a "hick" for urbanites. I'm also very much a nerd and happen to have a very dry sense of humor that very few people seem to grasp. I've been told I look like Ed Beagly Jr., although, I think I look like a very blond Alton Brown.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Open-minded people who can discuss anything and everything from the cinema to current events. True conversationalists (an archane skill that is fast becoming a "lost art"). Coffee drinkers. Model railroaders and train buffs. Hot-Rodders, Street-Rodders, Rat-Rodders, Muscle Car Maniacs, car customizers, Tuners and people who appreciate vintage/classic American steel. People who are unashamed to drive a Pacer or Gremlin (or be seen riding in either). Voluptuous redheads who bear a uncanny resemblance to Dana Scully or Jessica Rabbit. Hot Rod Chicks, Goth Chicks, "Suicide Girls" and Pinup girls. Classic movie and foreign film buffs and movie watchers in generail. Artists, photographers, filmmakers, writers, knitters, quilters, carpenters, welders, mechanics and other creative types. Tom D. Mischke (AM 1500 KSTP St. Paul radio personality).
