I am a vj and video artist. In January 2008 I worked on a creating visuals for dancer/performer Ashley Dyer at PACT theatre in Newtown Sydney. In June 2007 I worked with Sydney Jazz trio INFORMAL TROUPE. At their album launch at the 'last bastian of civilization' (private run space in Chippendale) I projected and mixed prerecorded visuals of dancers performing in various urban spaces.My first music video for MISS LITTLE which is featured on this site was shot on DV in the artist living room. My ambitious idea of asking her to mime the lyrics in reverse was very challenging not only for her in the shoot but in the editing process!In 2006 I traveled with CODA to do visuals for two performances for the FEAST festival there. I used a varied collection of visuals, some my own and others by local artists. I also took part in'wizard zing' a collaborative performance peice at the PACT theatre in Newtown under the theme of magic.2005 I VJ'd for ANDY CLOCKWISE at the Gaelic Club sydney for his album launch. For this performance I mixed my own visuals with a mash up of Bob Fossy dance films and some Charlie Chaplin.For Vj'ing I use a simple programme called 'miss pinky' which allows me to mix visuals live from my laptop.I am also a film maker (Rachael Brown.) Past studies have been at the Sydney College of Arts where I aquired a masters in Visual Arts majoring in Video. My masters short dance film CORPUS was accepted into the Commonwealth film festival in Manchester and has since gone on a national tour with a collection of dance films from that festival. 'Corpus' was also shown as part of 'Video Dansa' a short dance film festival at the Centro Cultural Ricardo Roja's in Buenos Aires.I am hoping to do more Vj'ing for local bands and for live performances in the realms of dance as well as collaborating on short video works.
