Influenced by the likes of Steve Vai, Frank Zappa, Ozzy Osbourne (Randy Rhoads, Jake E Lee, and Zakk Wylde), Joe Satriani, Tony MacAlpine, John Sykes, John Petrucci, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, John Norum, Gary Moore, Duke Robillard, many of today's modern Rock bands, and too many blues and jazz artists to mention Greg has carved out a style that is mature, dynamic, and "just plain blazing and amazing"!
His accolades include playing the Monterey Blues Festival, Annually performing the W.C. Handy Festival and The Madison Ribberfest and countless other festivals, his bands "Planet Blues" and "LA Groove" have been regional staples in the music scene over the last decade and were honored to open for many national acts in the early goings including Duke Robillard, Tab Benoit, Anson Funderburg, Tommy Castro, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, King Johnson, and many others before being considered a National act themselves. He was also honored to perform with songwriting legend and film star Paul Williams in several of his live concerts, along with longtime LA Groove drummer LaMont Melson.
Look for new songs to be uploaded to this site often as well as some of his older recordings. Check out MP3.com.au/LAGroove to stream or download Greg's songs or CDs with his bands "Planet Blues" and "LA Groove", plus some links to some of his other guitar/singing/songwriting collaborations dealing mainly in the blues. But don't be fooled, he's armed and ready to get back to his Hard Rock roots on his current project which, in his own words, he claims "is long overdue".
Greg hails from Louisville, Kentucky.
His above mentioned current project should be nearing completion by mid-summer.
