The Bing Bong Room is a new monthly clubnight at the good ship in kilburn. playing host to the best of Londons 'alternative' crowd. The band scene is congested, and its something of a one-way traffic jam.As opposed to driving the other way; we're trying to open a new lane. The evening is hosted by resident DJ's Lady&TheTramp & features resident band OK Karaoke. You can expect to see some incredible bands from outside the box, straddling a variant of genre's (encompassed in the 'alternative' bracket); so if you crave something that doesn't just sound like a second rate libertines or something that doesn't resemble a second-rate libertines rip-off, this may be the evening for you.. Just basically somewhere to get drunk and meet pretty people, and listen to some music you may not hear in the indie clubs. We also run a small independant label with one release under our belt so far (OK Karaoke's 'No Surprises/Oh Me,Oh My 7") If you're a band interested in getting a slot feel free to get in touch though beware we are quite selective.
