Kenji Hayasaki was born in Saitama, Japan in 1981, and left his country by himself at the age of 16. Since studying film at NYU, Kenji has produced and directed many documentary, narrative, and experimental films.
Some of his films are nominated and screened at various international film festivals and galleries, one of which titled “Life†was even broadcasted through cell phones in Japan as a new stream of internet services, as well as Japanese Cable TV channels. Also well-known film critic/editor in chief Jean Michelle Frodon of Cahiers Du Cinema has gave his film "Life" the top remark at Con-Can Film Festival.
His artistic and productive approach was widely recognized in many TV productions and commercial videos. Kenji has resigned full time position at the production company he has worked for 2 years, to explore more possibilities as freenlance director/editor/videographer.
