My Interests

Music:

Influences: & Inspiration ...... Sam Bush, Chris Thile, Dave Grisman, Steve Earle, Del McCory, The Be Good Tanyas, The Duhks, Gillian Welch, Tim O'Brien, Darrel Scott, Nickel Creek, Jerry Douglas, Mark Schatz, Edgar Mayer, Casey Driessen, The Waterboys / Mike Scott.... SO many more that I'm just not going to list....as my brain has stopped.

also love...(in no particular order) Pink Floyd, Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, Kenny Rogers (get that! Kenny straight in after Sabbath... how eclectic am I (only the eary stuff, obviously...actually - only The Gambler and Coward Of The County...thinking about it Kenny doesn't really qualify with just the 2 songs... does he?))... anyway....Tull, all the usual self indulgent 70s prog rock pomp, anything with a drug induced long sustain guitar solos... Brian Eno (for sleeping too), Hillage and Gong for nostalgic bed-sit moments...The Orb, Buddy Green, JJ Cale.... errr I just thought of Gretchen Wilson ('cos she makes me laugh)...

ummm Daily Planet, Leon Hunt, Rabbi John, John Martyn, Crosby Stills...Dylan, Neil Young... all the usual west coast 60's rock suspects

slightly more recent stuff - Coldplay, Gomez, G.Love, Ray La Montagne, Bonobo, Money Mark, Lemon Jelly, Dreadzone, Propellerheads... Black Rebel MC
jazz -Armstrong, Ellington, Milt Jackson, Charlie Haden, Pat Metheny (especially together), Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy (on a good day)
