What can one say about Sarah Premo that isn't expressed so innocently in her music? She grew up with loving parents in a (somewhat) normal childhood where art and music was her getaway. She has told me fondly of times listening to all the old country singers and smooth crooners and singing Carpenter's songs into her hairbrush with her sister. Her own mother played piano and violin; but it took years for Sarah to pick up her first guitar. Since then she has wowed people (myself included) with her
originality of lyrics and deceptively simple guitar parts. With songs about raindrops evaporating, dragons and castles, and dream-inspired poetry galore, it's hard not to be sucked in to her world. And I feel priviledged to be a part of that world.
