About Me

.. Hello there, and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Inga, and I'm a singer/songwriter from a small town in Lier, Norway. I discovered music when my father put on "Jokerman" by Bob Dylan when I was about eight years old. Since that day, music has been an addiction(a good one, of course). Bob Dylan is still my hero, but many other artists and musicians have made their way to my heart. My father was born and raised in Guovdageidnu/Kautokeino in the northern parts of Norway. He is half Sami which means that I'm a bit Sami too. I participated in the Sami competition called Sami Grand Prix this year with my cousin with the song "Niegadit". We didn't make it to the top but it was a great experience. I've recently become more interested in the Sami music and culture. I love the way they fight to keep their traditions.I write all the time, both song lyrics and poems. I keep most of the things I write to myself, but I'm getting better at showing other people what I've written. I'll be posting a few of my songs in the nearest future."Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today" - James Dean.
