Camilo Posada

Composer and Producer with a background in Guitar, percussion and with a degree in composition from Eafit University. Throughout my music career I have worked composing original music for films, documentaries, advertising, television and digital media. In the past eight years my music has been used by internationally well known companies and artists. As a composer I have composed the original music for more than 30 documentaries, some of the most successful have been: “Paisas Memoria de un Pueblo” awarded the Simon Bolivar prize in 2007 (the most important award among journalists in Colombia) and Tema con variaciones broadcasted on national and international television. In the film industry I have composed the original music for several movies: 2007 top box office feature film Esto Huele mal (directed by Jorge Alí Triana) , Allá viven los sapos, Circe, The Last Word, Designios, Los Muertos no Lloran among others. In the last seven years I have gathered a significant client portfolio in the industries of advertising and digital media. Some of my clients are: DDB, 3eyegroup, Avon, Johnson&Jonson. Yamaha, Suzuki, Haceb, MCcann Erickson, Glue Latinoamerica, RCN, Teleantioquia, Junglebox, BBDO, Zstudios, EPM, UNE, Empresas Varias de Medellín, Alcaldía de Medellín, Orbitel, Zenu, Nacional de Chocolates, Coordinadora, Corona, Comfenalco, Orbitel, Leonisa, Argos, Colanta, Mayorca, Peldar, Estudio de moda, Tennis, Protección, Almacenes Éxito, Flamingo, Fenalco, Pérez y Villa, and Suramericana among others. With vast experience in the recording field I have recorded more than 60 classical music CDs (concerts) in symphonic format, and numerous recordings for chamber ensembles, string quartets, woodwind quintets, percussion ensembles, choirs, tango groups, soloists, and folklore bands. In addition, I have experience in recording and producing music for rock, jazz blues and metal bands. Currently I have been focusing my work on composing and producing music for motion pictures.
