About Me

MyGen Profile Generator
I was born in New York City, and raised in Yonkers, NY, and began composing at age 11 after seeing the film Amadeus. I've written music for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, percussion, voice, chorus, band, orchestra, and film. I've been lucky enough to have my music performed at Weill Recital Hall, Aspen, the Brooklyn Conservatory, by the Cygnus Ensemble, and at universities and other venues in Rhode Island, Indiana, Philadelphia, and New York. I studied music at Brown University, Aspen, and privately, with my wonderful teachers, Johannes Somary, Gerald Shapiro, Michael Czajkowski, Chester Biscardi and Dan Becker.
Right now I'm studying composition with David Conte at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Ever get that feeling?

Do you ever get halfway through a piece you've been feeling really good about and suddenly feel like it's actually been a total piece of crap all along?
