{who are?}The Muddy Arts Collective;
we are an art collective based in Peterborough and have roughly, loosely, and in a very approximate way, about 40 or so artists who endevour to make Peterborough a more visually inspiring place to be. We welcome artistically minded people who would like to be part of the many creative projects we have going on.
We have a small exhibition space in The Glass Onion cafe area and are currently working towards having a full gallery space up and running there by June 2009.

Jane Fletcher
April 4th - May 3rd
Jane's bright and cheerful work always catches you with it's cheeky twist. From life like animals and natural scenes to graffiti and cartoon-esque images they always portray an playful take on life. A stalwart of Muddy Arts Collective for three years Jane has always pushed her own work and the collective forward. Jane doesn't just paint, however. Her handiwork is of a very high quality too, weather thats's jewlery, sculptor and decorative items or fancy-dress and costume making she always brings life to whatever material or space she is working with.
Janes recent work on canvas has been very exciting and we can't wait to see her work consolidated into one complete exhibition.

Jasmine Molloy
“Articles of Junk, Recovered from the Night-Time Thoughts of a JunkFairyâ€â€
A daydreamer recycling Peterborough’s junk. Working in; biro, paper, paint, canvas, tin foil, ink, varying strengths of glue, using objects such as bricks, scrap metal, wood, my aim as an artist is to experiment and breakdown the conventional methods of art in an attempt to remix the world, and throw it all back together again in new forms and hybrid twists. With snaps, scratches, bits, glimpses, rescued, re-claimed and re-appropriated ephemera Jasmine's actively, purposefully displaced artwork embrace all their shining and shifting flaws for a visual merry-go-round in her exciting world.....phew..!
