Hi I’m Pascal Baillien, born in 1964; the year of the dragon.
I’ve always had the urge “to create”. I started photography when I was 12, spending hours in the dark room to create the perfect image. Age 16 making punk music with my band, after that a life full of sex, drugs and rock’n roll. Anarchy seemed to be my religion!
After artschool in Amsterdam, graphic design, photography and film, my friends in the music industry came in handy and I was asked to direct music videos and create their artwork. This evolved into making totalconcepts for new artists; defining their style, look, artwork, photography and music videos.
My company Artronix (1990) has been productive in making 50 music video productions until now. My first music video “Poco Loco” was a worldwide success; my next one for Maurizzio “new emotions” (rmx Eurythmics) made it as first Belgium director nominated Superclip of the month on TMF/MTV. The clip was the first of ts kind introducing a virtual artist.
And I never lost the taste for it, working together with artists like Kaye Styles, Regi Penxten, Laura Ramaekers, Wout, Lunaman, Cru5h 5, Jade4U, D-me, Tanja Dexters, Fiocco, PPK, D-vision, A. Tcheelab, Unbreakable, Simon MC, ….
Being the official photographer for “Le Couchon” loungeseats, I add perception and decadent atmosphere to the product having total artistic freedom. www.lecouchon.com.
2006 I started Miss Lucifer productions, a company buying movie licenses for digital TV in the Benelux.
