About Me

I am married with 2 children, a son, who is 7 and a daughter, who is 2. Needless to say, they keep me pretty busy!
As you can probably tell from my screen name, I am a photographer. I mainly do aviation photography, but take pictures of darn near anything!
I run an aviation photography business, which is doing fairly well. I love taking pictures anyway, so I figured it can be a good side business. If you would like to check out my pictures, go to http://www.vg-photo.com . There are about tons of pictures up so far with plenty more on the way. The pictures are mostly airplanes, but I have a non-aviation section with other pictures of interest.
I just published my SECOND book, "Chasing the Dream" a photo journal of the year. It's 242 pages with almost 600 photos from 2008! Click the cover photo below to see a preview of the book and order one if you want one.
My first book, "That Little Yellow Airplane" about Rob Harrison's "Tumbling Bear" is still available for a limited time. Click the cover photo below to see a preview of the book and order one if you want one.
I also play guitar occasionally, I have been in a number of bands and have done studio work. Hated the hours and the pay.
I enjoy home improvement projects and have done alot of different things around the house including paint, wallpaper removal, texture coating, flooring and plumbing. I do some electrical work when I have to.
I am kind of a renaissance man. I have dabbled in alot of different things and can do most of those things with some degree of success.
What military aircraft are you?
B-52 Stratofortress
You're a B-52. You are old and wise, and you absolutely love destruction. You believe in the principle of "peace through deterrence" and aren't afraid to throw your weight around.

You either get it, or you dont

Aviation, you either get it or you don't. Flying isn't about adrenaline, well for some it is, but it's not adrenaline alone. The freedom of the skies, the ability to look down upon the world, it's ama...

One of my heroes has gone west

Today, the headline grabbed my attention "Colonel Hackworth dead". I blinked in disbelief and read it again. I couldn't believe my eyes. Colonel David Hackworth has been a hero of mine for a number of...
