I am a single mom of two adorable boys. They are 9 & 4.. They are my life.. I was diagnosed w/Stage 2B IDC (Infiltrative Ductal Carcinoma) Breast Cancer back in Oct 2007, I had a radical mastectomy w/12 lymph nodes removed 3 came back positive for cancer.. I have since completed 8 rounds of Chemo (ACT), and 33 rounds of radiation in May .. My cancer is Estrogen & Progestren driven, but HER2 negative (WHEW)!! Gotta have a glimmer of positive mixed in there somewhere.. I'm in the process of reconstruction as we speak, I had a prophylactic mastectomy on Nov 14th 2008, and I'm still in that process, getting my expanders filled every week! 3 more to go!! And then I'll have my final breast surgery and I'm getting new foobs (as they're so lovingly called in the BC world) I can't wait to close this chapter of my life, and move on to bigger & better things.. I have been in the battle of my life, and will continue to fight.. Hopefully I will continue to be graced w/good health from this point on..When I get a break every now and again, I like to catch up w/old friends.. Or just hang out and read a good book.. My boys and I spend a lot of time watching movies and playing outside.. I'd like to find my soulmate someday, but I also refuse to settle any longer.. I have an idea of what I want and I guess it'll either happen or it won't.. Time will tell.. And whatever happens I'm okay with it.. If there's anything else you'd like to know just ask, and I'll tell ya!
