About Me

Create or get your
very own MySpace Layouts I've played flute since the 5th Grade. I Like to sing and write my own songs. I often will have inspiration from my husband RC Andrews who will give me original guitar parts to do as I wish. After writing my lyrics, I use my Garage Band and use loops, keyboard arranging music. I will also add flute to most songs.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: Karenlink.net
Band Members: Karen Andrews Aka Karen Link. My Husband RC Andrews writes and plays guitar on some of my songs.
Influences: I love acoustic guitar, and its this love for that type of music that led me to meet my husband. I grew up playing classical pieces with my family who are musical. My mother plays cello. My aunt Patty played Violin in the Atlanta Symphony before retiring. My Aunt Caroline plays flute, and it was this Aunt who inspired me to start playing the flute. My grandfather used to play classical duets with me, he played the violin. He also took me to my flute lesson every Sat. morning. My Grandmother played piano, cello and viola. Here's something funny...My grandfather and grandmother used to listen to the opera every sat. and when I was there he would sit me down with the whole opera score as I read (music) along with the opera. Ha Ha. I know I would have wanted to be else where at that time. But now I look back on that and laugh about it. I played flute in the band all through school and was accepted at the University of Bridgeport Youth orchestra. When I got older I in charge of children's choirs for many years. Also writing and directing plays.
