About Me

Well Drumming, outside of my Fam.. is my passion, I started playing clubs in Jax at the age of 11 and since then live music has really been a long term focus. I have a strong jazz background but prefer hip-hop, backbeat, down tempo, groove, and d&b. I've spent years playing with Challenging (sometimes out-there) groups like the Matt Butler quartet and the Carlisle group which have pushed my skills further than I thought possible. My Interests

My beautiful wife Misty has been with me through thick and very thin for about 14 years. She means everything to me and I owe much of my success to her. Aside from being drop dead gorgeous she's an incredibly strong person and one hell of a photographer.There's no section for Video games (not sure why in this day and age) so I guess I'll put them here. Half life Starcraft And SC2 will be out soon (damn!) Warcraft.. pretty much anything from blizzard or valve software. Not much into console gaming unless I'm with a bunch of people.

Music:

Some of my personal influences would include. (drummers) Art Blakey, Gene Krupa, Billy Cobham, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Dennis Chambers, Jojo Mayer, Terri Bozzio, and alot of other drummers that I grew up around, sitting in with bands around town, from about the ripe age of 10 or so. (Groups) I started listening to pink floyd at about the age of 8 or so. Squarepusher,Aphex twin, Jeff Buckley, The bad Plus, Portishead, Charlie Hunter, Bjork, Radiohead, Plaid, Easy Star All-stars, Thievery Corp, MMW, Mr Bungle, Lake Trout, Amon Tobin, Peter Gabriel and so many others I can't think of right now.................. I currently play for: Fusebox Funk Pics from the last show

Movies:

Well, I digg alot of older stuff like (the Shining, A Clockwork Orange, To Kill A Mocking Bird, Vertigo, Rear Window, etc......) and here lately I've really been enjoying anything from Hayao Miyazaki, like (Nausicaa, Spirited Away,Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke and so on. Nausicaa is a movie that I saw when I was like 6 years old, and it sat with me until I finally found it again close to 20 years later. Other than that, I'm a big Night of the living dead fan, and I really dug Shawn of the dead when it came out. Oh and I liked the The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, despite the occasional wandering from the book. Oh and HOT FUZZ was well, damn, it was funny...........
