When I used to have "spare time," I enjoyed playing with computers, listening to music (I can always do that), traveling, Mexican food, being spontaneous, helping others, crossword and sudoku puzzles, children, pets, berries, and writing. I dislike tin foil, clowns, large circus animals, the sight of runny eggs, disorganization, negativity and lying. I've been labeled as a perfectionist and nit-picky... yeah, I like things done right, but I'm getting much better with my OCD-isms.

I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet everyone on my "friends" list if I haven't already met them. I have a wide range of people that I like, or perhaps you could say that I truly embrace diversity.

Just a Little More
Mom/
Mom was in the hospital in November and December with heart problems. But as luck would have it she found a boyfriend while there and has recovered nicely. Who says seniors can't have a love life? She's 75 and he's 77 and they seem to be very happy with their situation.
Travel News
It changes often, and I expect some great adventures in 2008. My schedule can be found at www.janiceonline.com.
Music:
I LOVE music and listen to almost any genre except rap & heavy metal, I'm amazed at how much fantastic talent is out here in MySpace.------
Movies:
My all-time favorite movie is still URBAN COWBOY. I have a thing for cowboys! Others include: Brokeback Mountain, Donnie Darko, The Prince of Tides, American Beauty, The Holiday, Somewhere in Time, Pulp Fiction, Sommersby, The War, Fried Green Tomatoes and The Color Purple. I was very disturbed by The Truman Show, and Roots gave me nightmares. The common thread in those were people being mistreated.
Television:
The way I watch TV goes like this. Around midnight I take a Melatonin. I then get in bed and set the sleep timer for 45 minutes. I flip the channels until I find something mildly entertaining, but not too exciting to keep me awake. Within 20-30 minutes I drift to sleep, as does the TV.
Books:
I do better reading emails and news from Google. I don't mind reading text messages, but I'm not good at typing them. When it comes to articles and books, I probably skim the important words and rush through to the next thing. When it comes to bookkeeping, I'm extremely meticulous and account for every penny. I never wanted to do bookkeeping, but that's exactly what I do every day for both businesses, myself and sometimes help others with theirs.
Heroes:
My first hero was my dad. He died at age 42, after battling heart disease since he was 34. But he was an awesome man who instilled some good things in his daughters. Dr. Michael Walker was my next hero. He died in May 2007 after a battle with MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome, a form of leukemia). He was my mentor, role model, friend, and sometimes father figure. He retained his dry wit and positive spirit throughout his illness and helped in so many ways. People like that should live forever to help people like me. I think heroes are those who at some time or another exceed our expectations and do the unexpected without the intent of being gloried for their actions. Heroes are all around us, every day. Say "thanks" when you notice them in the act. And although they can't understand why I say it, I think both of my sons, Mike & Phil, are heroes. They are two awesome dudes.
