-Detour
"Instantly hummable hooks and divinely catchy choruses."
-Whatevs.org
"The Prime Ministers are to the Midwestern suburbs what Fountains Of Wayne are to those who live in the shadow of the skyscrapers of Manhattan -- a band whose richly expressive, hook-laden power pop songs explode when they hit the speakers and make you glad to live where you live."
-Fluxblog
"Raucous power-pop, ill-kempt around the edges, with a juicy melodic middle. The group reveals its rich Anglophile tendencies, its way with a chorus and knack for hooks that would make Cheap Trick proud."
-Detroit Free Press
"The hooks are heavy and addictive."
-REAL Detroit Weekly
"Blistering, hook-laden rock 'n' roll...showcases the Prime Ministers' raucous energy and celebration of rock tradition."

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.theprimeministers.com
Band Members: Todd Wicks, Brandon Malik, Ned Coho, Ron Vensko
Influences: Power-pop songcrafters, rock-n-roll legends, our friends and our families.
Sounds Like: Catchy choruses of melodic hooks, carefully crafted verses, strategically symmetric arrangements, a pinch of purposeful variance, precise word choice, heart-felt sentiments, subtle overtones of irony, a reluctant form of wit and wisdom, a grounding tendency for self-deprecation, breathy-urgent vocals, persuasive-conversational vocals, hand-picked harmonies, anthemic exclamations of unison, robust over-driven guitar chords, clean jangle-pop guitar chords, momentary sprinkles of reverb/slap-back/chorus on guitar melodies and riffs that sit comfortably in the song, explosively tasteful percussion, a solid foundation of low-end...but it's kind of hard to put into words.
