My name is Pete Ceccarelli also known as DJ NuWave. I reside in Westchester, New York now but was originally born in Europe and adopted. I loved music ever since i was little and always got sick of playing instruments and doing the ordinary like so many other people. I wanted to create a new sound, a new genre, a new form of music that anyone could listen to and love. Whether you're a fan of Rock, Rap, Hip-Hop or R&B i want my music to be able to slip into each of these genres and still be listened to. I started to DJ when i first heard Tiesto's Magik One First Flight. One of my favorite CDs of all time and jump started me into the whole DJ scene. I knew i wasn't destined to be like Tiesto though and techno/trance were just not my area to work with. So i thought i could take the techno/trance theme and apply to hits from every other genre. Creating a new genre what i like to call NuWave. So from that genre i wanted to create came my name DJ NuWave, that and the fact that my favorite DJ brand is Numark. I was 15 when i got my first set of turntables and a mixer just messing around in my room mixing songs, scratching, editing, morphing whatever i could do with the limited equipment i had. I stuck with the tables for a while spending whatever money i had on vinyl. As i got older though i felt the need to expand my setup and try new things because i had the hang of vinyl down but it was to hard to bring it all everywhere from party to party or place to place. So i did some research and found that the CD Mix 3 just came out and i went nuts. I got that and a new effects pad the KP3 and just started going crazy mixing samples together, cutting songs up and just remixing them into something new with a whole new sound but the same foundation of the original. I found my niche my place in music where i could be myself and create something of my own with my own unique sound. Since then i have progressed and my setup has grown going from a place in my room to a studio with a 32 channel mixing board. I now produce and mix music as much as I can along with going to college full time. I love what i do and i hope it shows in the music and everyone likes the sounds.
