CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL 2007Representing the land of reggae music, Neil Halliburton, captured the title of Mr. Caribbean International 2007 on Saturday October 6, 2007 in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. Neil, who is affectionately known as Neil-Prince, is a 27-year old musician who hails from St. Ann, Jamaica.Born under the zodiac sign of Aries, this talented guitarist has performed on many local and international stages enhancing the sounds of performing artists such as Tanya Stephens, Richie Stephens and many more. During the Mr. Caribbean International main show, which was held at the Hedonism III resort, Neil-Prince delighted the audience with his seductive rendition of songs such as Lost Without You, and Missing You.As the contestants competed in the areas of swimsuit, talent, fitness and public-speaking, Neil-Prince capitalized on his home court advantage. He quickly became a crowd favourite and was voted the winner of the People’s Choice award by the very anxious and supportive audience. Neil-Prince’s win of the Mr. Caribbean International competition earns Jamaica its second victory in the six year history of the competition.Accompanying Neil-Prince in the top five of twelve contestants were 1st runner-up, Dave McFarlane (USA), 2nd runner-up Ryan Goddard (Canada), Dabian Cumberbatch (Barbados), and Macumbla Smith (Bahamas).For the second consecutive year, the Best Physique award was secured by Mr. USA; this was awarded to Dave McFarlane. The award for Mr. Fitness was awarded to Andrew Dawes, who represented Cuba.All contestants also participated in the week-long series of photo shoots for the 16-month 2008/2009 Mr. Caribbean International swimsuit calendar that will be released in August 2008.
