Shrapnal began in the fall of 2000 with members of two different bands. At first they had a four piece with dolamike fronting the band, siminz on guitar, david on bass, and andrew on drums. Later adding another vocalist to the mix justin and rhythm guitarist patrick. By the summer of 2001 they had 6 songs completed and were ready to hit the studio. On sept 1, 2001 shrapnal entered the studio and cut there first demo. By fall of 2001 shrapnal was playing everywhere from maryland, to dc to wva. by 2003 after acouple of years of touring, 2 demos, and personal reasons shrapnal decided to call it quits.

MUST HAVE OWN EQUIPMENT, TRANSPORTATION, 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER UNLESS YOU FUCKING ROCK. POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND BE WILLING TO GIVE CREATIVE INPUT. DRUMMERS WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO BE FAST ON YOUR FEET, MUST KNOW DOUBLE BASS. GUITARISTS MUST BE ABLE TO FUCKIN SHRED YET FOLLOW A MELODIC TUNE AS WELL AS BRUTAL BREAKDOWNS. BASSIST PICKING OR FINGERING YOUR CHOICE, OR SLAPPING AS LONG AS ITS NOT SLOPPY.

WE ARE NOT SAYING WE WANT TO SOUND LIKE THESE BANDS, THESE ARE JUST EXAMPLES OF BANDS WE ARE INFLUENCED BY. WE ARE VERY OPEN MINDED AND ARE VERY WILLING TO HEAR OTHERS IDEAS.
