Boombox Republic (aren't a band anymore)

Rocking without power chords since 2004!

About Me

We are a 5 piece rock band from the Milwaukee area trying to create original sounds that will change what the masses consider normal rock 'n roll. Three of the members (Mike, Dave, Kyle) were in a Milwaukee- based band called Marzapan that did quite well. The lineup is completed with John Lovas' poignant vocals and Jason Morimoto's talent on the guitar. The group strives for a sound that has the unparalleled energy of punk acts, while creating intricate song arrangements that groove. Bottom line: this is music you should MOVE to whether it's jumping around or dancing. To experience the sound in its entirety, there is no substitute for attending a show. Please check the show listings and do so soon.

Sounds Like: "The oddities didnt stop there. Its been a few days since the show and Im still trying to figure out just what the hell The Boombox Republic plays. I of course mean this as a sincere compliment. Staying original in any scene is no small feat, and to do it well an even greater one. The Boombox Republic manages to achieve all this while still being accessible. Hats off to these boys for a great show."-emergenza newsletter
