About Me

OK. About me. What can I say. I'm kinda quiet, but kinda loud. Serious, but funny. Introverted, but extroverted. Laid back, but outgoing. Moody, yet predictable. Simple, yet kind of a complicated chick. I love life, I love family, and I love God.
Im a Chi-Town chick, through and through. I'm a singer, a writer, a Christian, a lover, a giver, a sister, a friend, an encourager, a soror, a daughter, a student, and a teacher.
I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I don't believe in regrets, because each "regret" brings a lesson(s) that we need in order to make better decisions next time.
I firmly believe that you should believe people when they SHOW you who they are, that your first thought is usually always the right one, and that Starbucks Coffee and ColdStone Ice Cream were God's way of giving us a little bit of heaven right here on earth.
I believe that true friends are a blessing (and very rare), real/unconditional love (though scarce) DOES still exist, and that Common IS my husband.
I believe in the power of music, the power of words, and the power of God...all of which drive me in one way or another.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! and CeCe Winans!

As for who I'd like to meet on myspace?......NOBODY.
Not to sound mean, but I'm not interested in meeting people online. I am only here to connect with people I ALREADY know.
Therefore, if you send me a friend request cuz you like my page, think I'm cute, wanna promote stuff in the Chicago area, etc., I WILL deny your request. Sorry....but then again, not really....it is MYYYYYYspace, right? ;-)
Smooches!

Do you expect certain courtesies from your friends?

We're not supposed to give to get or so the saying goes. So does this mean that it's wrong (when in need) to expect from those to whom you've given? I've struggled with reciprocity in friendships...

Dont Ignore The Alarm

I think we all have built-in alarms. They let us know when it's time to do something.   Our stomach is the alarm that lets us know it's mealtime. Our eyes often alarm us when it's time for bed....

Get your life in order: Outside In

It's been said that it's what's on the inside that counts. But I'm convinced that what's outside of you deeply affects the state of what's inside. Have you ever wanted to start an exercise...
