MORTIMER

Stop screaming and RELAX!

About Me

I can now be found bartending at The Westside Lounge after being the senior bartender, asst. managing and barbacking and cabaret shows at the now shut Studio Six. I am the most fiercely loyal friend you can have, I have lost far too many people in my life to disease and accident so I treasure the friendships I have to the bottom of my cold dark heart. I love my friends madly and deeply. Most importantly, I can keep a secret. I know your's. Tell me and I'll let you know. Right now, I have been throwing myself into the gym. I am becoming well traveled, I have been to the Bahamas, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, Ft. Lauderdale, South Beach and Orlando. I am also booking vacations to far flung places. On the horizon: the Philippines sometime after the new year to see Dr. Rita.

Get Your Monster Name

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interested in a great time, good food, great conversation and occasional clandestine sex. I have already met some of the best people in the world and I couldn't ask for more. Miss Patti, Rita, Helen, Charlie, Chunkie, Gary, Joy, Jonathan, Jefferson, Johanna, Miss Tene, Dorian (mi hermano seperado) and Shannon, who might get me to switch. All of these are some big shoes to fill, if you dare... I give my heart, completely. The people above know that and I thank them for not breaking my heart, completely. I live by my feelings, they run deep and strong. I will never apologize for loving my friends as much as I do.

As Bolero Plays In The Background

I was up early, tossing and turning with dreams.  Dreams given to me by a little pill called Percocet, a perk to working in the bar business.  I finally rolled out of bed, both too h...

Tuesday Or Bust

It was a bust.  Well, not really.  I had very generous customers, tip wise, but I rang nearly nothing during my shift.  So it's Mortimer-One, Club-Nothing.  There was one g...

Holiday!

I'm up.  I survived the weekend (although it was rather easy, unfortunately).  The gods were kind and held the rains off until today.  It's rather damp, dark and dreary o...

Writing, Nothing Special, Just Writing

I got up after a boring night sleeping, the mattress of my bed slightly askew again, sliding on the hardboard insert that sits underneath it to give me extra support.  I pushed it back in ...

From Glorious Cause To Hopeless Cause!

I am reading a book called "The Glorious Cause", it's a fictionalized account of the American Revolution.  Quite a ripping read, if I do say so myself.  I just finished a passage conc...

The Last Café

Well, it's done.  I shut Mortimer's Café last week, forever.  That's all folks!  The turnout was small, which is fitting.  I performed songs that meant a lot to me.  A...
