Headquakes formed in 2003 from an idea by Matteo Corona (guitars),Giorgio Anselmi (Bass), and Alberto Treppo (Drums) from the ashes of their previous high school band - DIODITO. The band called in Giovanni Venier on vocals and started immediately to work on their own songs as well as Metal/Hard Rock covers. Edoardo Cellini (ex-Diodito member) was called in as a second guitar and the band started playing gigs in some clubs and pubs all around. In late 2005 Edoardo Cellini was replaced due to his poor interest in the band and Dario Trevisan became the new guitar player. After writing some new songs the band decided to record their first demo but a few weeks before the start of recordings the band separated from Alberto Treppo because of different musical ideas. Finally,in March 2006 with the help of Tommaso Corte (Slowmotion Apocalypse) on drums, the band recorded the instrumental parts of the demo in their own studio. In November they recorded the vocals and completed the mixing and mastering at New Sin Studios. Vincenzo Gulisano became the bands new drummer in late 2006. In late 2007 the band started recording their first album that will be released in January 2008 for DRACMA Records. Meanwhile the band called in Alex Corona (Revoltons). In september 2008 Vincenzo Gulisano left the band due to work reasons and Gabriele Gritti took his place. In January 2009 Dracma Underground Dept. failed. The Band is now writing their second album and searching for a new record label.
