BABYS ON FIRE

About Me

first of all, it should be known that "baby's on fire" is a 1974 song by the so-called glam-rock artist brian eno. alexis loves this song, which explains where their name comes from: it's a tribute to the visionary artist brian eno and his crazy song. but baby's on fire aren't glam-rock; they just rock. i can't explain it... they just do. singer alexis met guitarist nick and drummer chris in high school and kept in touch with them after graduation by running into them at local rock shows. originally they asked her to be the drummer for a band they'd been wanting to form, (something blues-y but raw,) but out of some crazy twist of fate (or perhaps necessity,) chris ended up behind the drum kit like some kind of drum prodigy and alexis ended up rocking the mic - firsts for the both of them. you'd never guess it to hear them live though, nor on the 4-track demo they recorded in early january 2007 which details such things as being fired for having sex while on duty at "the morgue," being shot by the bandit "el dorado," and being sent straight to hell for "a date with the devil when i die." it's toe-tapping music to say the least. and for the less inhibited, it's DANCIN' music. what else can i say about them? i don't know... mom thought nick and chris were twins. (they're not.) i couldn't even tell they were brothers. (they are.) what else? you should go see them live! and dance! they're rad.-nick warrington.

First the bad news then the good news

Alexis recently broke the news to us that she can no longer sing in our band. She has a busy school schedule at Fresno State, along with her job, and now she has started a volenteer job ...
