Cauldron is a studio collaboration of the recording artists: Artemis, Lazarus, and Syren.
In the summer of 2000, the women of Syren and Artemis met for an evening of music and experimentation. With the beginnings of a traditional, celtic lullaby, these women took their varied influences and brewed up something of a meltingpot of genres. The spirit of Cauldron is the liberated enjoyment of music and freedom in collaboration! It is a celebration of the goddesses within, and of each other.
From the summer solstice to the dwindling autumn leaves, the artists met each week to record a piece of music that was selected, arranged without rehearsal, and captured in one take. The result of this recording is an epic fusion of genres and influence in the celtic/medieval vein woven neatly in a
combination of traditional celtic songs and original compostions.
