Started by Guitarist Garrison Frey and Vocalist Brendan Frey, My Ransomed Soul is a band with a love for creating and playing great music, which gives a glimpse into who they are as individuals. Made up entirely of Christian members who love the Lord Jesus Christ and want to share that love with the rest of the world, My Ransomed Soul is a Christian band with a burning passion for their music and for serving their God. The band, which is based out of Mount Airy, Maryland, officially started in 2006 with the addition of Drummer Daniel Proffitt and has grown tremendously since then. The music is passionate, driven, heavy yet melodic, and at other times very dissonant. Their first official recording, released in July 2008, called the "Chorus of Vanity EP" showcases the bands diversity and melodic yet heavy tendencies. My Ransomed Soul now has a final line up featuring Keyboardist Tyler Scully and Bassist Jonathan Shonk.
