I don’t know what was coming over me, but I was still mad with Josiah and it had already been at least two hours since I left him screaming in the mall. I looked at my cell phone and like a good husband, he called every five minutes, and left all the messages he could until my answering machine wouldn’t let him leave anymore.
As I stood there deciding where else to spend my time, I walked over to my car, got into it, and just sat there. I didn’t want to be anywhere else.
I had no where else to go. This town had so few black people in it that wherever you would go, there would b someone you knew there. I guess it’s a true statement that black people love to congregate around each other. The tapping on my window was the only thing that broke me out of my self pity trance.
