52oz is the project name for the music made by, Rob D. under the alias McSpooky [A name appearently allready taken by a aspiring rap artist. Please do not confuse us :) ].
Rob D. was born in Rotterdam , the Netherlands-1975.
He has been involved and inspired by music since the young age of two ehn he started drumming.At a later age he started with,guitar, a little singing and some messing on a keyboard.
While in college, Rob D. joined forces under the alias Darkhound with Dirk and Fred achtien , known as the C-squad (http://www.discogs.com/artist/C-Squad ).
Their ways parted when Rob D. joined the military and later C-squad would know moderate succes with the 5th gear label.
During hiatus that lasted over a decade, ROb D. spend most time listening, and mixing other peoples music ( as your typical bedroom/small party DJ).
Recently he has picked up the craft of making his own music again and having a blast.
Since 2005 Rob D. resides in the USA and being away from the daily influences on the european radio station, provides the opportunity to find and develop a personal style again that combines the old and familair with new and fresh ideas and sounds.
