The Hazards

About Me

Once upon a time there was a young lad in Cleveland, Ohio named Nick Baxter, who had a dream. This dream was to make a rock-and-roll album. So, one day he sat down and started to think of things that rock. Then he wiped, and the idea for The Hazards was born. Nick diligently started to compose songs and recorded with a variety of performers. The album "Hot, Hard, Fast, and Now" was the result. The next logical step was creating The Hazards as a living, breathing group. Nick called on his old friend Frank Stanek to be the guitarist. Having recorded his own music for over a decade, Frank’s experience was the foil to Nick’s enthusiasm. Onward they went in search for a drummer. After being banned from SuperCuts, Greg Molnar decided to grow his hair out and play some music. This couldn’t have happened at a better time. Nick and Frank had been searching for a few months, with nothing to show for it. With the addition of Greg Molnar on drums, the foundation was set. Several jams and 12-packs later, The Hazards developed a loose, loud sound. Unfortuantely, Greg's job required that he work a crazy schedule. He had to make a choice, and parted ways with the group. Undaunted, our heroes of rock continued their search for a drummer. Some time passed, and the guys met Rich Berta. After their first jam session, everyone agreed that The Hazards found their drummer. From here on in, it's solid practice 'til it hurts. In the meantime, all you’ve got to do is kick back with your friends, have a few beers, play some Hazards songs turned waaaaayy up, and you’ve got yourself a great night! Get Hazardous!

Influences: And now, an announcement from The HazardsATTENTION ALL PROMOTERS/PRODUCTION COMPANIES: BEFORE BOOKING US, READ THIS FIRST. WE'RE FULLY AWARE THAT THE REAL MONEY IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS IS NOT EVEN BEING IN A BAND. KNOWING THIS, THE HAZARDS REFUSE TO BE EXPLOITED. WE'VE PLAYED FOR FREE, FOR BEER, YOU NAME IT. WE WILL NOT PRE-SELL TICKETS TO OUR OWN SHOWS. WE ARE MUSICIANS, NOT SALESMEN!! WE DON'T BELIEVE IN THE 'PAY TO PLAY' BUSINESS MODEL THAT SO MANY PROMOTERS SEEM TO BE FOND OF. WE WORK HARD ENOUGH AS IT IS, AND WE JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING YOUR JOB FOR YOU. IF WE ARE TO BE COMPENSATED FOR ROCKING YOUR ASSES, WE'LL DEAL WITH THE VENUE DIRECTLY, MAKE OUR OWN FLYERS, AND PROMOTE OUR SHOWS OURSELVES. AND THAT'S THE TRUTH.
