Chakra 2012

About Me

Chakra 2012 is an electronica project of Phil Justin; a composer, filmmaker, and producer trained in classical and jazz, who plays piano, bass, guitar and percussion. He has a full knowledge of traditional and contemporary orchestration, and the music and scores are filled with a variety or texture and color. Phil composes many genres of music, most a hybrid of electronic and orchestral instrumentation. Although there are many electronic sounds and much original sound design, the music of Chakra 2012 has a very warm, organic feel to it with thrusting beats and a very trippy feel.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.ozoneghost.com"www.ozoneghost.com
Band Members: Phil Justin-Just me for the most part, but there have been plenty of projects with studio musicians, orchestral musicans, and other bands that I have jammed with. Out of all the instruments I play, piano is by far my fav.
Influences: Infected Mushroom, Shpongle, Juno Reactor, Spacetribe, Spacetime Continuum, Cosmosis, Talamasca, Hanzel und Gretyl, Raja Ram, Frank Zappa, Dany Elfman, John Williams, Gotan Project, World Music
Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Terrence McKenna, Carlos Casteneda, Sal Rachele, Barbara Marciniak
Sounds Like: Take all my influences from above, and there you go. It doesn't sound like any of them, yet it sounds like all of them. I'm a huge fan of writing hybrid music, so you never know what your going to get from one album to the next, or even one song to the next. Versatility is key.....
Type of Label: Major
