Sounds Like:!--!: !--!:On May 28, 1988 Crisis (Khalil Smith) was born in Philadelphia, PA. Raised in North Philly on 30th & Stiles, Crisis was the third child out of five and stayed with his mom and seen his dad on the weekends. He attended Robert Morris Elementary, Wakisha Charter, and Robert Vaux Middle school. His oldest brother passed away when he was ten. He moved down to Savannah, GA with his mom at the age of fourteen and attended Bartlett Middle school for a year. It wasn’t till his first year of high school at Windsor Forest in 2003 that he started playing with the idea of rapping. Everyday during Gym all his friends would join in a chypher displaying there skills. The most influential one to him was his friend John who had a real standout style.

At the age of sixteen Crisis moved back to Philly with his mom and stayed by the school Strawberry Mansion for a few months. After debating he moved in with his dad leaving Philly for a more unknown place called Crumlynne, PA. He attended Ridley High from 2004 to 2007. During his sophomore year he met Hasheem who was from the same part of Philly so they both could relate to each other. During that time they would freestyle to pass time and Hasheem had a habit of putting Crisis on the spot when there was a big group or a cipher going on.

It wasn’t till their junior year that Crisis would surprise Hasheem and everyone around him with something that he wrote and memorize during a cyper with another local rapper known as Rush. From that point on Crisis spent most of his time writing during class in school and after school. Also during that same time Crisis join a group that was called Major Movement at the time, which is now known as Team Major and features Crisis, Yung Gwop, and Ace also known as Hasheem among others.

During his senior year from 2006 to 2007 Crisis struggled in school working overnight from 10pm to 7am and going straight to school from 7am to 12pm. A lot happened during that time. Most of the details are kept behind closed doors. After missing a lot of days Crisis left Crumlynne, PA and stayed out in Chester, PA for a few months. During the summer of 2007 Crisis ended up leaving Pennsylvania and moved in with his Uncle in Columbia, SC to finish school. He spent most of his time writing raps while he was there. Four months later he returned to Pennsylvania for a short time after graduating and recorded a few songs. The most standout ones was “Why Wouldn’t I” and “Burn Memories”. During the summer of 08 Crisis ended up recording twelve songs within four hours. The most memorable one was a hard hitting track called “Riding”.

After missing for months Crisis has returned started working on his first mixtape ever called “The Art Of Progress”……!CLOSE Text Div!:
