Roleo

Roleo is a music producer from Sydney's inner city Newtown, a guitarist for 10 years and producer for 6, 22 year old Roleo is trying to combine the two artforms in a big-beat heavy and funky new sound.
Making electronic music that seems to lack a definitive category. Instead taking inspiration from everything and cooking up a fresh new meal which seems to be enjoyed by all.
Combining funky rhythms with heavy basslines, taken from the styles of; Hip-hop, Dubstep, Electro, Psychadelic, Dub, Rock an funk (is that mixture too flavoursome? you tell me!)
After releasing a few demos and mixes, which have attracted strong community radio and local support Roleo has been slowly working on an EP which is bound to turn a few heads and supprise a lot of people. In the meantime though Roleo has been working on his live shows. Which have at the moment split into two different performance types;
1. A more traditional approach with live vocals (featuring guest vocalists and MC's), live guitar and live percussion.
2. An Ableton live based DJ set, featuring as much live looping of audio and synths, dubbed out delays and beatmixing as physically possible.
Roleo has also been 'busy' working on various projects and collaborations; from acoustic guitar duo’s, hip-hop projects, live bands to live ableton sets.
