About Me

H Rapp A.K.A. Harold Thomas grew up and was born in Oakland, CA. With influences in the music industry around him such as Richie Rich, 3 X Krazy, Souls of Mischief, Casual, Hieroglyphics etc. growing up, H Rapp developed a love for music creativity.Starting off in the sixth grade jotting down raps in class soon evolved into actual songwriting and studio time. Eventually forming a group P.K.D. (Pure Kane Dopeness) in the late eighties with a few friends H Rapp began aquiring musical instruments such as pianos, bass guitars with amps and drum machines. Taking a few lessons in Piano and Bass Guitar, Rapp soon developed a love for actual music production. Going to studios and instead of sampling other peoples riffs, which was quite popular during that era, making his own riffs with numerous midi and audio sounds. When he graduated from High School in 1994 he immediately left Oakland to attend Grambling State University in Louisiana where he met a number of independent upcoming artists and others in the same mind state as himself. Working in the dorms on tracks with a mutual friend expanded his passion for music production even more. Not really grasping a feel for the rural country area in Grambling, Harold returned to Oakland in January 1996 only to link back up with others with the same passion as he for music creativity. Brian Banks (B Banks), one of his childhood friends and also from Rapp's same neighborhood, soon introduced him to Software production. Banks had experience producing tracks and had built himself a studio from the ground up, and had tracks that strongly motivated Rapp to do the same thing.Producing a few tracks at B Banks studio in 1996, Rapp decided to venture out of California again to take on the world. He also wanted to finish what he had already started in College and obtain his degree in Marketing. Ending up in Atlanta, Ga in 1997 living with close childhood friends, and being accepted into Morris Brown College, Rapp was at it again. Only now to initiate even more. Utilizing his old computer and purchasing a keyboard similar to the one at B Banks studio, Rapp began creating his beat library utilizing the knowledge of Software Production he had gotten from Banks. From there he evolved his abilities to produce on other equipment.Rapp is now in the process of building a Marketing Company mainly targeting small businesses and entrepreneurs. And a sister company targeting independent artists, labels, entertainers, producers etc as well as a few other things. He is also still doing his production work. Feel free to contact him if you are interested in some of his ventures.found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
