About Me

I have two daughters and a son with Autism. I love to do anything that involves a little bit of creativity, but most of all I love to write poetry and songs. I don't claim to be great at either, but I am not afraid to do it and put it out there. The North American Country Music Association awarded "Blame the Girl", one of my first works, with the title of Song of the Year, so I guess it wasn't the worst song they ever heard. The singer, Sunny Gross, also won Georgia Country and Gospel Music Association's award for female vocalist of the year and also went on to win an award at the international level. The songs on my profiles are scratch demos, recorded in my home studio by various artists. Some of the songs are on their way to being professionally recorded. In addition to poetry and songs, I am also working on a book about my experiences in raising an Autistic child. Since, writing and children don't keep me busy enough, (haha) I have recently begun to try public speaking, which has proven to be quite challenging for me. Although it doesn't come easy for me, it is something that I plan to do again in hopes of educating people about Autism and what it means for families who are raising Autistic children. Once upon a time, I booked shows and handled PR for mutiple bands, but eventually needed a break from it.... an EXTENDED BREAK!
