★ BIOGRAPHY:
MIKE McGUINNESS aka MICKY FIDGET started his dancefloor career on the other side of the decks, breakdancing all over the North West. Taking in all the music, Micky quickly built up an understanding of what does and doesn’t work for the crowds. After discovering a love for house music, Micky decided to pick up the headphones and become the one who supplies the grooves to the masses. This led to the launch of his own event MONKEY FUNK in 2003.
Now a well established touring DJ, Micky finds himself in demand by festivals and high profile club brands such as AFTERPARTY, BITCH, BAD ESTATE, FILTH, TWILO and WARPED due to his seamless mixing and admirable tune selections. Micky has put in performances at many prestigious venues both home and abroad that include MINISTRY OF SOUND and PACHA in London, SANKEYS and AREA 51 in Manchester, MINT CLUB in Leeds, CAMEL CLUB in Huddersfield, and on the White Isle of Ibiza in some of San Antonio's top bars and clubs.
Micky has played on the same bill as well established internationals including LAIDBACK LUKE, BART B MORE, HERVE, MICKY SLIM, STEVE LAWLER, KISSY SELL OUT, FELIX DA HOUSECAT, ROGER SANCHEZ and ANNIE MAC to name just a few. As his reputation has grown Micky's sets have also hit the airwaves having appeared on radio shows such as MINISTRY OF SOUND's addictive tour and his hometown station SALFORD CITY RADIO.
Along with his hectic DJ schedule, Micky is currently in the studio producing his own EP "Drop The Hat" that will feature collaborations with STU WADE-SMITH, JONO CARR and JOHN CRAIG. Just as the goods are being delivered in the studio he knows exactly how to tear up a club.
