About Me

I'm currently in school, again, going to become a court reporter when I grow up!I love the Lord and I do quite a bit with my church, like teach the preteens on Sunday mornings, get to meet other women for coffee and bagels, and for the first time in my life I am actually the head of a committee! I have never been brave enough to head anything before, only if I was the only person responsible for what I was doing. Anyway, my little committee is the "assimmilation committee" not that anyone knows what exactly that is, but we just try to find ways to help people connect with those in our congretation and let them know what there is to get involved in. But it doesn't really matter much about church because in the end, it is all really just about GOD and a relationship with him! Church is just a tool to help one grow. Also, I AM MOM and WIFE. The big 25 is coming up this year as far as marriage goes - and we're still not tired of each other yet. Also, have three wonderful children, not quite children anymore -- 21, 17, 14 -- but they're great. Wouldn't live life without having gotten married or had children, even if I could do it over again. Some of my greatest joy comes from just thinking of them.Love my family too. Great sister, mom, dad, (brother), neices, and nephews. I love my family! and wish they were closer, but I guess I would have to move for that to happen.

My Interests

Interests; is there any time for interests? Lets see, school, homework, work, church, family. There was a time when I used to sew. I do occasionally help Bruce with remodeling the house. Also, occasionally there is time to read a book (just finished Tuesday's with Morrie - Great Book!!! - but have some tissues ready!!!)

I'd like to meet:

Lots of people! Lets see:Biblical: God, Jesus, Noah, Josh and Jacob (since those are my boy's names), how about Ruth, and maybe the guy who had to carry Jesus' cross to the hill (there is a song about that-you know).Stars: Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Sean Conrey, Will Smith (he's quite funny), Drew Barrymore, and I don't know. I would like to meet the ones that are real and true to themselves, and not too politically outspoken. There are some I think ought to be thankful they live in the U.S. where they can say what they like.Politics: Speaking of politics: There aren't many. Maybe I would like to speak with Nixon or Ronald Reagan if they were still alive. Kennedy too. I also think it might be interesting to meet B.Obama - ask him some questions and see if I like his views.Friends: I would love to speak with my friends I have not seen in ages!!! Lori, Sue, MaryJoe, Gregg, Mike, Jeff, Larry, Mark. I really miss Lori! I am lucky (and if I can find my phone number list) and I still get to talk to Sheri. Some friendships just need to be made when you are younger. And then there are those that have passed on who I would love to talk to also: Patti and Rudy. It would be fun to have an elementary school reunion.

Music:

Love the oldies, love 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's, and I guess the 2000's and on. I just like music, but don't ask me who sings what - I only know a few - most of "Neil" (Neil Diamond for those of you who don't know him by his first name); love Rod (yes, Stewart); and of course the Beattles, and others too.

.. FLIXSTER MCT RESULTS END -Oh I love all those "chick flicks"! Sleepless in Seattle, How to lose a guy in 10 days, 13 going on 30, Never been kissed, and that one with Dianne Keaton and Jack Nicholas, and anything Disney (the classic animations). There are more but I would never be able to list them all. I also really want to see that new one with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, the one with Jennifer Gardner, and the one with Dianne Keaton - Can Hardly Wait (that one was o.k. - I guess). My daughter is rather a movie officionato (sp?) so I always have someone to see a good movie with.

Television:

There's always my soaps-ABC. I also love American Idol. All the Law and Order and CSI's - and really like Numbers. House is also good and I also like Bones the few times I have seen them. I think 24 and Ugly Betty would be fun ones to watch also, but I'm not sure when they are on.

Books:

Just read Tuesday's with Morrie. On my nightstand I also have the Boy in the striped pajamas and The five people you meet in heaven along with my Bible. But it is hard to find time to actually read a whole book so mostly my reading is relagated to my Bible and my textbooks.

Heroes:

Everyone who has passed the CSR test (certified shorthand reporter). Those people who can actually balance a check book and can keep money in their account. People who are brave enough to stick up for those that others overlook or make fun of. And, MY FAMILY. My kids are my heroes - they have great morals and are great people in general - I love my kids. My Husband is my hero - he is my rock and my support - he encourages me and loves me!
