Singer/Songwriter/Vocal Coach; brought up in Vienna next to the football stadium, ski fanatic by the age of four, outlaw during sixth grade; found purpose in everything when I took up singing, which ended in taking an official Jazz and Teaching degree in Austria. After having inhaled at least 234 Standards - performing with Martin Reiter, Katrin Weber, Hari Gansberger or Waltraud Köttler - I found back to my roots in Pop and Folk music; A year in London doing Arts Management tought me the meaning of money and of friendship; great Pop Music is still the one. I have recently recorded my Debut Album "Regular Craving" and moved to New York in summer - thank good for autumn! I have taken the liberty to put up a review that I like. "Arrived. This is the word that comes to mind while listening to Sarah Price's debut album Regular Craving. The baby of the singer with a past in jazz music is astonishing in more than one level. Not only did Sarah Price consequently follow the path that lead her back from Jazz to Pop, with guitarist Hans Zinkl she has found an extraordinarily skilled creative partner. The songs are impressive. Songs that just won't fit into a well-bound scheme, but nevertheless keep running in your head once you've listened to them. Sarah Price has nothing to hide. She is turning her insides out, touching the listener with her thoughts and her emotions. Hence, little Hits like "Ballade du Jour", "Nothing Impossible" or "In 2 Place" are born. Musically Regular Craving is balancing elegantly between all chairs. Is it Pop, Soul or Folk? Doesn't matter, these songs have their own particular charm and win the listener over, empowered also by the inspired play of string-master Hans Zinkl. With that, we forgive Sarah the odd weaker song. Regular Craving is a very appealing Debut, that gets you in the mood for more. The first step has been taken, hopefully many more will follow.
