I'm Mandy and I am a SUPER STAR. Ok, maybe not really a star, but I am important. I could be your little sister (or brother, but that would be wierd).
I'm the star of the new book "Please Knock". Haven't heard of it? Duh! I told you it was new. And I must say I am awesome.
Have you been watching the news these days? It's really yucky. There's all these people out there who are hurting kids. I mean REALLY hurting them. Sometimes it's a coach, or a teacher, or a neighbor and ever worse sometimes it's a member of their own FAMILY!!!! That's really GROSS!
Just think. This could happen to your little sister or brother!!!!! And if it did, who would they talk to? You know how hard it is sometimes to get mom and dad's attention. And when you're my age it's even harder. I mean how do you expect someone like me to talk to mom and dad if a friend of their's is the bad guy.
That's where the book comes in. "Please Knock" is a kids book, NO not dumb, remember my age, that talks about all the yucky stuff without being yucky. If you or mom and dad read it with your little sister or brother it would help them to be able to talk about stuff.
It gives kids power to say that "I say who touches me or takes me to the movies, NOT YOU!" Isn't that GREAT???? Helping them with this would make you their hero!
